BulkRegister members and their clients to more easily use and
manage their new and existing domain names by providing a
reliable, and robust domain name system. The Domain Name System
(DNS) is the single most important piece of the internet
infrastructure. Simply, it maps domain name(s) to the correct IP
address and back. Without fail-safe DNS infrastructure, your Web
site could fail and your business and profitability would suffer
the consequences.
Because BulkRegister serves only businesses, we know how
important it is that your customers and clients can always find
your website. Built right into every BulkRegister membership are
the following DNS services, provided at NO ADDITIONAL COST to
our members:
How do I set up my free DNS?
Simple!! Become a Member!! Log into your Member Account and go
to List Domains, Click on the domain you wish to update with
your free DNS service, Click on "Configure DNS", Click on
"Accept". From this screen, you can quickly access and modify
the A/MX or CNAME records you choose. Click "To view this
domain" to see your updates.

 URL
Forwarding/Redirecting
Our URL Forwarding service is very useful when
attempting to generate traffic to another site already in place.
For example, you registered a new, shorter domain name that you
thought might be easier for users to remember than an existing
website address or domain name you already have. With our URL
Forwarding service, visitors to your new domain name would be
automatically redirected to your pre-established website or
domain name and your old website address would be visible in the
URL bar of your web browser. Please see the examples below for a
clear illustration of Forwarding.

Domain
Cloaking/URL Masking
Also known as stealth forwarding, Domain Cloaking allows you to
invisibly forward your web site to your current web host. Our
Domain Cloaking service is also an invaluable money saving tool.
Many of our users choose to cloak their domain name to free
webspace they have with their ISP.

Parked
Pages
Trying to sell a domain? To get your domain live and online
quickly choose one of three customizable parked pages! Need to
point your domains to a temporary page while your new site is
being built? If you are not yet ready to create and put your web
site online, we will "park" your domain on our servers
absolutely free. With our parking service, your domain will be
visible to the world instead of visitors receiving an error
message. When you are ready to get your site online you may do
so at any time by updating your nameserver information.

DNS Record Control
We allow our BulkRegister members full control over their domain
name's DNS record. You can edit your domain name's A record,
CNAME record, MX record and various other DNS settings. Our
record management tools allow you to point your domains to any
static IP address or hostname. MX Pointing is also possible, by
simply pointing your MX record to the hostname where your mail
server is located to run a mail server for your domain name. You
could also create a mail A record to point your MX record to,
thus using an IP address for MX pointing.
Record management make Round Robin pointing another way to make
sure your domain name remains online even if one of your
webservers goes down. You can set multiple A records with the
same hostname to point to the IP addresses of your multiple web
servers. If one of the IP addresses is no longer accessible, the
next A record will automatically take precedence.
Finally, Wildcard Records can be done via our record management
tools so your website is accessible no matter what hostname is
accessed. You can set up a wildcard A record or CNAME record and
regardless of what is typed in, like "wwwww" rather than "www",
your website could still be accessed.
NOTE: If you configure a CNAME record with a domain, you cannot
configure any other services with that domain (A/MX etc).
Email Forwarding
Email forwarding services automatically forward (pass on) all
email from your new email address to an existing email account.
Using our email forwarding service, you can set up several email
aliases at your domain name to forward to real email addresses
anywhere on the Internet. You can forward mail to your Hotmail
account, your ISP email account, your Yahoo account, or any
other email account you may have. By easily forwarding
mail@yourdomain.com to other email addresses, there is no need
to have an email server for yourdomain.com, saving you money and
additional management. |
